Formed in June, 1983, as a sole proprietorship. A young auditor made an environmental engineering assessment of his dad's chemical terminal. This environmental "audit" took five days and resulted in a clean bill of health at the next environmental inspection!

That was over 20 years ago and since that time Industrial Ecology has slept.

Now, Industrial Ecology is alive on the web to assist anyone that wants to start or awaken a sound environmental policy in their organization. That young environmental auditor has since assisted in writing environmental policy for a fortune 50 company, published articles regarding life cycle analyses/management with the Society of Automotive Engineers, and obtained an MBA (what better way to learn to speak management's language?)
